Day 1

Arrive in Havana, Welcome Dinner, Cannon Fire Ceremony

Our Letty's Cuba driver and guide will welcome you at Jose Marti International Airport. On your way to your accommodations, you will enjoy a panoramic view of Plaza of the Revolution, Old Havana and Vedado. At the Bed and Breakfast, the host will be waiting with refreshments. You may visit with the host and learn about owning a Bed and Breakfast in Cuba. Note: Staying at a Bed and Breakfast is a great way to support the Cuban people!

Chef Ivan’s El Carbon Restaurant - Pamper your senses with an outstanding, family style welcome dinner. The menu includes typical Cuban dishes like "arroz con pollo" and "masitas de cerdo." Chef Ivan uses new recipe ideas from his travels around the world to create his flavorful "Cuban fusion" cuisine. Join the list of many happy clients including the King of Spain, Will Smith, Ben Affleck, Penelope Cruz and others!

Cannon Fire Ceremony - Take a drive to the fairgrounds of Castillo de San Carlos de la Cabaña. A spectacular sunset and view of the city awaits you. Meet tourists and locals who visit the fort to witness the unique tradition of the Cannon Fire Ceremony. Since the 1700's, this event takes place at 9 pm, signifying the closing of the city doors. Furthermore, you may shop for souvenirs at the end of the event.

Day 2

Paseo Prado, Cigar Rolling, Old Havana

Paseo Prado - “Paseo” (stroll) one of Havana’s most famous avenues, El Paseo de Prado. A tree lined street with marble floors and benches, as well as bronze lions along the entrances, the paseo is the perfect place to take a relaxing walk and take in the beauty of Old Havana and the Malecon. Stop by Parque Central in which you can admire the colonial architecture of the Capitol Building, Grand Teatro Alicia Alonzo and the Kempinski Hotel.

Cigar Rolling (Mon – Sat/11 am – 4:30 pm) - Let’s take a drive to the San Carlos Cabaña Fort, La Triada, in which you will meet Jose Castelar Cairo, Cueto, who holds the World Guinness Record for rolling the largest tobacco (Habano). Jose will help you roll your cigar. The workshop also has a photograph of the largest tobacco in the world. Photo opportunity!

Lunch at El Cañonazo Restaurant (Included) - This cozy restaurant at the fort will be the perfect place for a relaxing and delicious meal.

Plaza La Catedral
The Cathedral Church dominates this Plaza, but you can also discover restaurants and small museums within the square. Hemingway’s Bodeguita del Medio is a “most stop,” for a mojito and to leave your name on one of the street wall

Obispo Boulevard - Stroll Obispo Boulevard, a lively street full of cafes with live music. You will have a look, from the outside, of the Hotel Ambos Mundos, where Hemingway wrote “As the Bell Tolls.” Next stop, the famous Floridita. Hemingway's life size statue at the bar and enjoy the best mojitos. Suggest dinner at one of Obispo many restaurant/bars (not included).

Day 3

Varadero, Cuevas de Bellamar

Varadero Beach and Cuevas de Bellamar - Varadero is one of Cuba's jewels, a charming town known for its powder white sand beaches and laid-back atmosphere. On the way to Varadero, we will stop at the impressive Bacunayagua look-out point.

Bellamar Caves and Lunch - Welcome to Matanzas! The Bellamar Caves is one of Cuba’s natural treasures. The solid calcite crystals hanging from stalactites phenomenon can only be found there and have attracted the attention of geologists around the world. Please wear good shoes, it can be slippery while exploring the caves.

Check in at lodging in Varadero.

Free time to enjoy the beach. Dinner on your own

Suggest La Comparsita or Habana Club for night entertainment and dancing.

Day 4

Cueva de los Peces, Cienfuegos

Cueva de Los Peces - On the way to Cienfuegos, by Playa Giron, you can visit the amazing Cueva de los Peces cenote, a 70 ft deep, natural swimming pool with a great variety of fish. You can swim, snorkel or dive!

Lunch at a local restaurant (Included)

Continue to Cienfuegos. Check in at lodging.

Walking Tour of the City Center - Known as the Cuba’s Southern Pearl and considered by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, the city of Cienfuegos is seductive in its beauty. As you walk the main boulevard, take in the elegant mix of French and Caribbean architecture. You will delight in its parks, palaces, and theaters. Loved Cuban singer Benny More named it on his famous song as “the city I like best.” End the tour with a panoramic view of the Cienfuegos’ Malecon.

Suggest a night out at one of Cienfuegos’ many clubs (suggested, not included)

Day 5

Topes de Collantes Park, Trinidad

Topes de Collantes - This beautiful natural reserve in the Escambray Mountains is a great landscape for exploring nature, hiking, bathing in waterfalls and even enjoying a picnic in the mountains!

Trinidad City - Trinidad is another Cuban GEM and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city’s cobblestone alleys, colonial architecture, museums, and night entertainment is a favorite of many travelers.

Day 6

Trinidad, Valle de los Ingenios, Transfer to Havana

Valle de los Ingenios - This UNESCO World Heritage Site is named after the many sugar cane mills that filled the Valley. Today, guests can visit the main plantation, the look at point, and even zip line above the magnificent landscape.

Transfer to Havana

Day 7

Morning Free, Muraleando, Salsa Class, Almacenes San Jose

Free morning to relax or explore on your own.

Suggest Lunch at El Mirador de Acosta (not included).

Muraleando - This community project, at the suburb of Lawton, is an enriching artistic and social community project. Guests can delight in local art and music, and a salsa class!

Almacenes San Jose - Enjoy live music while you shop for souvenirs and art.

Goodbye Cuba!

This amazing Cuba experience has reached its end. Thanks for traveling with Letty’s Cuba Travel and Tours. We hope that your experience was amazing!
